Rooftops and rosé are an unbeatable summer duo, though rooftops and workouts might be a close second. Unobstructed city views might be hard to come by, but Arlo Hotels’ summer fitness series offers a sick skyline and a little something for every fitness fanatic. Set up at their trendy accommodations in SoHo and NoMad, Arlo’s partnered with some sweet studios that are sure to make you sweat.
LOVERS AND FIGHTERS
Arlo’s certainly made a name for itself as one of the healthiest hotels in the game. Apart from this series, they’ve got partnerships with fitness powerhouses like Dogpound and Tone House.
But let’s talk about what’s going down up on the rooftop this summer.
First on the list? The Muay Thai masterminds behind Hit House — a spot notorious for their legit instructors, all of whom are actual fighters. Their in-studio classes utilize an industry-specific boxing bag (called a ‘Bishop’), so their rooftop sessions will have a slightly different focus to modify. “We’re going to create a fun, challenging workout using the multiple strikes of Muay Thai, plus shadowboxing, footwork, and some plyometrics,” explains Hit House co-owner Dana VanPamelen.
Hit House comes to the Arlo Hotel in NoMad on August 9 and their SoHo locale on August 13 and 27. Register for class ahead of time and be sure to wear sneakers; gloves are complimentary!
