We asked our Hit House community what LGBTQ+ owned businesses mean the most to them. This is what they said:
• @edysgrocer [a trendy Middle Eastern deli in Greenpoint]
• @elmorestaurantnyc [‘see & be seen’ at this lively, fashionable bar & restaurant in Chelsea]
• @fondanyc [‘high-end’ Mexican cuisine with can’t miss spicy guacamole & tequila cocktails in Chelsea]
• @guevarasongrand [predominately LBGTQ+ staffed vegan cafe that carries coffee-roasted by a female & trans owner in Clinton Hill]
• @huascarandco [inventive cupcakes & flan from Cupcake Wars winners in Hell’s Kitchen]
• @juliusbarnyc [the ‘oldest gay bar’ in NYC is full of history, known for the ‘Sip-in’ & great burgers in the West Village]
• @lambdaloungeny [black-owned, LGBTQ+ owned bar in Harlem with great service and great vibes]
• @odd_fox_coffee [coffee, snacks & backyard space in Greenpoint & Bed-Stuy]
• @thestonewallinn [of course — gay bar, National Historic Landmark & site of the 1969 riots that launched the gay rights movement]
